Is Score City really free?
Yes. Create a free student account and you can play Score City, take the diagnostic, follow your study plan, and use the full adaptive practice engine at no cost. The free plan includes 20 AI tutor messages per day; Prep Plus raises that to 100 per day and adds priority support.
Is the practice in the game real ACT practice?
Every mission question is a real ACT-style question served by the same engine that powers our prep dashboard. Answers update your skill mastery and analytics, and completed missions show up in your practice history just like any other session.
What is Prep Plus?
Prep Plus is our monthly subscription for students who want more coaching. It raises the AI tutor limit from 20 to 100 messages per day and includes priority support. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal and keep access through the end of your billing period.
Can parents manage the subscription?
Yes. If a parent account is linked to the student, the parent is the payer: they can upgrade a student to Prep Plus and manage or cancel the subscription from the parent dashboard. Independent students can subscribe and manage billing themselves.
Is the game appropriate for teens?
Yes. Score City is inspired by open-world driving games but contains no violence or crime — you play a 'score runner' delivering knowledge contracts across the city. It's built to be school-appropriate.
Does Score City replace tutoring?
Score City and the prep dashboard are great for consistent, self-driven practice. For students who want expert one-on-one instruction, our ACT tutors work alongside the platform — your tutor can see the same mastery data your gameplay generates.
